Le trèfle à quatre feuilles (Belgium)
More than 40 athletes, 9 cars, an unknown number of beers and an incomparable amount of fun: the Roadrunners visited Olne (Belgium) last weekend! Last year's trip was more horrifying than pleasant, with temperatures as low as -14 degrees, and one of Roadrunners who had to go to the hospital. How different it was this year: two days with brilliant sunshine and lovely temperatures.
On an early Saturday, we met in Rotterdam. The trip towards Belgium took about 2 hours, where we had lunch and spent our afternoon by hiking through some marvelous scenery. The rest of the day was reserved for dinner, and some drinks during the night in our hostel. The reason for our trip took place on Sunday: Le trèfle à quatre feuilles, a trail through the hills of the Ardennen. The choice was between running 12, 23, 33 or 42 kilometres. Everyone did the race on their own pace, but some of us were quite fast and even ended high in the final rankings from all participants! I think everyone agrees when I say that last weekend was great! Will you be joining next year?
